The word, “Slandala” is based on the Gaelic word “slándála;” it means “security.” We selected the name because some of the initial thinking and planning for our company occurred in an Irish pub. According to the folks at The Embassy of Ireland the Gaelic word is correctly pronounced with two syllables “\slan-do?l\.” But since we are not Irish, we just drink their beer; we pronounce it pretty much the way it looks, with three syllables “\slan-dä-la\”
